South Park: The Stick of Truth
Man alive. It’s really hard to read anything on my tumblr. I gotta fix this theme if I’m going to continue posting things besides pictures and videos about butts.
And then, it started. It should be noted that it had started before, and would start again, but it started all the same. The problem was that there was no finish. The chess match had no endgame. The drama had no thrilling conclusion. The fat lady had no song. It’s good to know when we start, but also important to know when we get there. They told us “it’s about the journey, not the destination” — they told everyone that, didn’t they? — but since we didn’t know when we got there, nothing stopped us from starting again.
A new start. It makes us feel good! We’ve got our materials packed neatly, everything in its own compartment, labelled and placed in drawers and cabinets and cupboards. It felt like staring across a virgin field, covered in a thick frost. We could feel the crunch of the frozen grass beneath our feet. We could see our breaths and each other’s breaths. We like it when we can see the steam meet — it’s like we’re holding hands without touching.
We’re glad to be together. We’ve been together for a long time, but we still like how it feels. A new start — er, a new version of same start, we guess — but somehow it feels fresh and promising, each time. This time, we think, is going to be different. We’re going to get there, wherever there is. So what if we don’t know? We’re on our way. We’ll send you a postcard. It’ll be addressed to you in big block letters, with hearts instead of dots on the I’s, and it’ll say “WE’RE THERE!” and it’ll be a full-color picture postcard, so you can see what we see. So you can see what There is like. It won’t have all the details, though. We’ll be too busy soaking them in to describe them to you. We will be basking in the There-ness. We might send you a letter later, better describing the sights, the sounds, and the smells of There, but at first, all we’ll be able to do is send you that postcard. The one with hearts instead of dots on the I’s.
That was only our best guess. You never got the letter, let alone the postcard. We haven’t gotten there. We need to start again. Will it be different this time? Maybe. Probably not. But it might be. This might be the one, when we finally get there. we’re just going to start again. We always start again.

I believe I am coming out of my recent tumblr hibernation.
Not that anyone noticed.
